The countdown has begun for the 2019 International Congress on Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders.
The event will take place from September 22nd to 26th; this year, the host city is the beautiful city of Nice on the French Riviera.
The event organized by MDS
The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) brings together thousands of industry professionals each year at its International Congress on Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders.
The congress has many objectives, one of which is to disseminate research findings on new pharmacological therapies, medical devices, and complementary approaches available for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, diseases that significantly decrease quality of life.
Congress sessions also discuss diagnostic approaches, as well as the pathogenesis and neurobiology of Parkinson’s disease.
The purpose of the MDS International Congress is to share ideas, encourage collaboration among professionals involved in the care and research of movement disorders, participate in MDS activities, and advance the clinical and scientific discipline on these topics.
Who will attend the congress?
The target audience includes physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, post-doctoral fellows, medical residents, and medical students interested in current research and approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders.
GONDOLA at the congress
Once again this year, Gondola Medical Technologies, as in past editions held in Milan, Berlin, and Vancouver, will participate in the congress to present the latest developments in AMPS therapy.
GONDOLA AMPS is a therapy that improves walking symptoms, such as slowness of movements, walking difficulties, and motor blocks, through peripheral stimulation without side effects, which improves movement management mechanisms at the spinal level and enhances collaboration between brain areas involved in movement management.
By May 2020, the third generation of the GONDOLA device is expected to be released, which will be even more precise and easier to use. The patient will be able to perform the therapy completely independently, without any assistance, with greater precision and treatment consistency.
The new GONDOLA will be more versatile, easily customizable for any patient, and will have remote assistance functions to simplify assistance activities over time.
The appointment is at the International Congress on Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders from September 22nd to 26th, to discover GONDOLA 3.0, coming in spring 2020!
