TOP 100 SWISS STARTUP AWARD is an annual event organized by Venturelab, the Gebert Rüf Foundation, known for its support of research activities and new initiatives, SECA, the Swiss Private Equity and Corporate Finance Association, IFJ, and StartUp Ticker, the leading organizations supporting startups in Switzerland.
This event is the occasion to nominate the 100 most notable entrepreneurial initiatives in Switzerland, with the ambition to grow globally and the potential to bring substantial changes in their respective fields.
The evaluation is carried out by a group of 100 experts selected from university professors, entrepreneurs from various fields, and financial operators, each of whom has evaluated all the applications, assigning a score to each.
Venturelab, the main promoter of the initiative, was established in 2004 as a national startup training program and has since organized 202 entrepreneurial events with over 23,000 participants from Swiss universities and conducted 3,225 laboratory modules for the training of innovative startup projects.
The goal of Venturelab is to bring the most promising startups, selected through a stress test demonstrating their entrepreneurial readiness and business potential, to improve their business knowledge and skills and connect them to the community of entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry experts.
Based on the experts’ evaluations, the 100 best entrepreneurial initiatives in Switzerland have been selected.
The new ranking for 2016 was compiled in collaboration with Handelszeitung, journalist Claus Niedermann, and the Institut für Jungunternehmen.
Last night in Zurich, the award ceremony took place, attended by GONDOLA Medical Technologies, ranking among the top 100, thanks to the votes and positive evaluations received from the jury of experts!
