How does the GONDOLA^® medical device work?

Once patients have verified their response by coming in for a suitability assessment, the device is used at home in order to provide AMPS treatment in the home and at the appropriate intervals to maintain its benefits over time.

Its effectiveness has been documented in clinical studies and in scientific literature.

AMPS treatment is based on stimulations applied to specific points on the feet via controlled mechanical impulses, which activate the motor-related areas of the brain and improve motor coordination.

During the initial assessment appointment, the patients’ clinical situations are assessed and they undergo a treatmentwith GONDOLA^{^®} medical device.

The benefits of the treatment, which takes less than two minutes and has no side effects, are usually evident immediately following the stimulation and persist for two to five days, depending on the patient’s clinical condition and treatment response.

In the event of a positive response, the patient can evaluate whether or not to procure a device to continue the treatment from the comfort of their own home, without assistance and at regular intervals, so as to maintain the benefits going forward.

In most cases, this means two treatments per week.

A specialized technician is required only for the initial suitability assessment and to perform the three-dimensional scan of the feet required to customize the device.
